The answer is YES!!! Thank you high tech equipment! You spared me from leaving the dreaded 5-8-10 split!

For your information, I'm the one wearing the black shirt tossing the shot on the left lane! Taken from doubles competition 2009 USBC Open Championships Event in Las Vegas, NV

  • very nice shot but not what i would call deep. nice shot nonetheless

  • For me it's on the deep side because I prefer to play the track area. I began my play there but my look from that angle was disappearing. One of the guys I was bowling with appeared to have more room further left.

  • I've must have bowled at least 75 games with my new ball and now it needs a little touch up haha :)

  • That's usually what happens. They don't last as long as the balls that were popular when I began bowling back in the 1970's.

  • I finally fixed my release (kept turning early and breaking my wrist.....wonderful 180 rpm release until now), and I can identify with wondering how the hell people can stand on the big dot and throw it at the second arrow without getting a 3 count. If you have any release drills, try making a little setup at home where you can do them. Then, work on getting more side roll on the ball for a different release. That will let you play inside a little better.

  • @irishpogi That's the cost of progress I guess, now that the balls absorb oil they hook more......but then they get oil soaked and die.

  • on this shot if you had anything over 150rpm you could smash the pocket as long as your ball crossed th outside of the 10 board at the back (the brown board)

  • Yes, somehow the more advanced modern balls need more maintenance because of the advanced chemistry on the outside coverstock :)

  • Good luck to you then! Let us know how your progress is coming along!

  • excellent!

i partook in my first sport league this year in the pba experience, and am moving up to adult leagues at the end of the summer, which means any more tournaments for me :O
