Setting up HDMI for your PS3

A basic tutorial on how to set up HDMI for your Playstation 3 system. For people like me who didn't receive an instruction manual when buying their PS3.

My TV can play at 1080P, so it can play in full HD, but it depends on what your TV can play that determines what you choose in the list.

Edit: I found Target is a good choice if you want an HDMI cable. They sell them for cheap, from 7-15 dollars around here, depending on how long you need it to be to reach from your PS3 to your TV.

When i plug in my HDMI i just the sound but no video... And i dont got these cords only the power cord and HDMI so can i use those cords for VID and sound for the PS2?

@MrThewowplayer Unfortunately, PS2 is not able in any known way, shape, or form to work with HDMI. PS2 does not have an HDMI input nor a converter for such a thing and is not capable. If you are using a PS3 however, it would be a different story.

If you are merely asking if HDMI can be used for video and sound for the PS3 however, then yes, it is possible. My video shows one way. With just an HDMI cord, you should just be able to boot up your PS3 and it will proceed with display setup.
