GW President Steven Knapp awards nine academically talented D.C. high school seniors with full, four-year scholarships to attend The George Washington University. Representing eight District high schools, the students were presented with the GW Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Scholarship Awards in front of their friends and family at an assembly at Ballou Senior High School. The video features (in order of appearance): Ballou Senior High School marching band; Rahman Branch, principal of Ballou Senior High School; William Alexander III, B.S. 04, M.B.A. 06, a former GW Trachtenberg Scholar; D.C. Councilmember Marion Barry, Ward 8; GW President Steven Knapp; Yuhana Gidey, Woodrow Wilson Senior High School; Angela Bonham, Dunbar High School; Torrin King, Benjamin Banneker Senior High School; Maritza Sanabria, Sidwell Friends School; Nicholas Kelly, School Without Walls Senior High School; Metasebia Temesgen, Benjamin Banneker Senior High School; Ikechukwu Umez-Eronini, McKinley Tech High School; and Isaiah West, Ballou Senior High School. Andrew Haynesworth, St. John's College High School, also received the scholarship award.
Miss Hall's School is an all girls boarding and day school located in the beautiful Berkshires of Massacpphusetts for grades 9-12.
