@SoKawaii2 It's not that she was ugly, really. It's simply that Henry VIII held a preference for more 'delicate' women. Anne of Cleves was described as a strong-looking woman who carried herself with great dignity. Not his cup of tea, I suppose.

@LeahWalentosky Yeah maybe the show set it up. I liked the music around Elizabeth & Edward(also uplifting). Though I hated Mary's was dark, she wasn't the only one to execute. I wish her theme was just a little upbeat.

Anne definitely wasn't an ugly woman - Today, she would probably have been considered 'plain', but her manners and decorum made her pretty by the standards of the day. She was a real lady. Henry didn't like her because she had large breasts (yeah) and because he got a bad first impression of her on their first meeting (Like this, it was pretty awkward.) He liked Catherine Howard because she was young and full of life, whereas Anne was very modest.

@ravenscheer23 True lol I think thats why they made his character look pleasing to the eye. Probably an unattractive man on the inside AND the outside would've been too much for t.v.
