The Second Sight (Toby Driver/Jason Byron)

hey dudes, I just got a webcam, so decided to play with it a bit and upload some casual tunes for you all. Wrote this one last night very late.. lyrics by Jason Byron of course.

The Second Sight:
A blindman is standing alone in the rain,
His dog lies dead in a puddle;
He thinks of rain and cold and death, and
The Sun that was blown out of the sky.
A pocketful of silver and some rosary beads
Have nothing in common but conversation,
Rattling as the rain pours down
Like windows in a hurricane,
Like prophetic whispers from the grave,
Musing on the sounds of the rain
And the pall that fell down on his eyes.
Blood in the veins seems to fall from above--
The tears of God rotting with syphilis
And begging for release from His shame--
Colder than the Whore of Death,
Comforting in its biting pain,
He wanders alone into night,
His dog lying dead in a puddle.
