  • Hey I got that folding razel and I was just wondering what that little clip is for. It has a standard pocket clip that works well but why that little clip. CRKT website doesn't even explain what it's for. It seems like it's useless unless you can tell me what purpose it serves?

  • @ekserchina The little clip is a unique pocket clip that works left or right handed and doesn't get in the way. Try it. You will like it.

  • @ekserchina Sorry for the confusion. We need a better picture on our website which I will try to do in the near future. The small clip allows the knife to sit deep in your pocket so it is very discreet. It looks like a pen in your pocket when the small clip is clipped to your pants.

  • @ekserchina Check out the quick picture I put on the website (search for 4030 on our website CRKT.com.) See how discreet this large knife sits in your pocket with this unique clip. If you don't like it you can always take it off and use the standard clip.

  • lol is it just me, or are all of you guys kind of uncomfortable with the camera? :P

Would you say the SS7 is suitable for splitting logs for firewood?

i see some people banging on the blades of survival knives with pieces of wood.

    always kinda makes me cringe...

could i use the SS7 to do it differently?

IE: with more respect to the blade :P

  • They were nervous! Anyways, use an axe to split logs. it works better! the SS7 could be used if you had to.

  • @Whisper6911 so what if they were nervous, personally I like it, just show me the knife and tell me about it, don't feed me a lot of ego about how great you are, the knife will tell me how great the maker/designer is, I just got me one of those ringed razel and it is pretty dang good, I plan to carry it in the car, clipped on the car door.

  • @crktchannel Ive been looking on your website and iam looking for a knife bigger then 7 inch and that has a spear point blade. Also have a pocket knife from u guys for 5 years now and it still works amazing and its so sharp.

  • @crktchannel That is hands down very cool. I appreciate the time you put into showing me with a picture. I kinda figured it out last night before after I read your comment and replied. It made me think which is a good thing. I guess it worked out for both me and CRKT. Now there will be no confusion and I'm sure others will appreciate the fact that they see what the lil' clip is for. Thank you much. CRKT lover. Now, how about a job? hehe

  • @crktchannel I'm sorry but I still don't understand. It works left or right handed and it doesn't get in the way? What exactly do you mean by that? Is it's use the same as of the standard clip it is equipped with or is there more to it? Thanks.

  • @dweek123

I agree...flat grind all the way...

  • Thanks! Very cool to see the custom knifemakers!

    Cool knives!
