Hey everyone, I have been getting a lot of questions asking me how to set up an external microphone and connect to to Logic Pro using an audio interface.. So as usual, instead of answering in a text format, here is the video format for you all to follow.

This will take you through all the steps involved in getting a seamless connection between your audio interface and you Logic Pro set-up.

  • Good video. If you haven't already could you make a vid showing how to midi sync drum machines to logic? Thanks.

  • Can you use both channels at the same time? For example, channel 1 for a microphone and channel 2 for a guitar-then record on both at the same time. I have the mAudio mobile pre and use Logic. Thanks.

  • how do i get rid of distortion when trying to record?

  • Wassup Adam? Man I must say that I have learned a lot from u. I have a question though, totally unrelated to this video. Is it possible to record 2 or more audio tracks simultaneously using Logic?

Thanks for all of the top-notch tutorials you have posted. Keep doin ya thang.

  • Very clear, Thanks a lot

  • yeah this whatI was lookingfor..thx dude

  • Drum machine drum machine

  • what kind of mic stand are you using?

  • @JimBryanMusic i usually use 48 khz but i think the overall best choice is just to use 44,1 khz, its regular cd quality sounds fine and you don;t get trouble converting your 48 khz (or higher) projects. wich is the case pretty often

  • Now I have another question, at what sample rate should I record? Is the highest possible always better?

  • Yes!! Thanks Adam, this is exactly what I needed! So apparently my problem was that Logic never found any devices. I did install the software that came with my audio interface but it never got noticed, then luckily on the audio interface's website (Motu) I found some software up for download that could be used by all of Motu's devices and that did work for me.
