  • This is offroading in its purest form. Brinig back the camel trophy!!! Long live the discovery!!

  • The old LR discovery was great for this kind of work, but I hardly believe the new one could start in such race.

My dream is to start in CT as part of Poland Team , but now it is imposible :/. Mayby some day I'll buy old LR Discovery and just go for my own 'trophy' :).

  • I'm from Guyana and believe it or not this is what the locals do there every day to get around in the jungle, taking in supplies and bringing out gold and diamond. The favourite is the old British military's Bedford Model M and the old/original Land Rover.

  • @gurnug ive been wanting to do my own camel trophy for a while. soon im going to be trading in my wrangler for a defender and hope to go on an expedition from CT to south america

  • @gurnug The new discovery is so good as the old, just dont have the spirit of the old. see the G-$ Challenge videos, you could participate in that...=) Land Rover <3

  • In the states I see few discoverys with manual transmissions, never a diesel engine, and always power windows.

Do they make a utilitarian version with manual roll-up windows?

  • @osulxa

Couldnt agree more. Unfortuniatly as long as health and saftey and the greens are around i cant see it happening again :-(. I watched a clip of the G4 challenge and well....yea more like a triathlon.

  • im not joking if someone doesn't bring this back, im going to start it up again when im done with school.

  • @mollyandtiger no, generally start off in 2nd gear low range, 1st has a tendency to just make the wheels skid and lose traction

  • Do u use 1st low anyothertime than rock crawling and decending steep slopes.
