This is just an experimental video trying to acheive a "Super 8" film effect using all digital software. It hasnt quite reached what I would like, but I think it is a good start. Video was recorded with Canon XL1 digital DV camcorder, and edited with Adobe Premiere.
This video was taken April 4th, 2009 at a jetty on Plum Island, Massachusetts. It was an exceptionally windy day out and the waves were huge. I decided it seemed like a risky but fun idea to climb out and make my way towards the end of the jetty while huge waves crashed over it.
Song was taken from the opening track to the album, Takk, by Sigur Rós.
Very good job! It looked convincing, though I do agree that the frame rate is higher than actual Super8 film. Still, though, good job with the colors. ;-)

hey, this looks really convincing. you got the colour scale great. the hotspot and flickering is also very well done.
Just one remark: a real Super8 film has only 18 frames per second; yours looks like 30 or something fps. You could try if it look even better if you reduce the framerate.
