Rarely read so much nonsense, as here by the Americans. Lucia Popp may want to animate the conductor at a slightly faster pace. The gesture and vocal execution shows Lucia Popp in very good shape. She is neither ""tired of this role" nor is "her F veiled". She sings that note just not with a brutal Forte, but with a little subtle, discreet volume. For me, Lucia Popp is one of the best interpreters of this role.
Actually, the second time I listened, I believe it was her, much less the fault of the conductor. It seemed the conductor struggled to accommodate her unpredictabilty as best he could, but to no good end. It must have driven the conductor nuts! I would love to have read the reviews of that performance. Not a memorable one, that's for sure.
Very strange rendition, her voice is anormaly lower than usual, and her F is veiled. She seems a little hurry, but the coloratura part was amazingly well done. I just wonder if she was in the mood for the song? Maybe she was tired of this role.
The entire aria rests on the high F. A bad day and all the effort put into the rest of the performance is ignored. [ remember that Mozart's pitch was a bit lower - almost a half step I've been told - than today's A 440.]

One thing that bugs me to no end, and in this captured performance it is blatantly obvious:
The timing of the vocal rhythmic phrasing is out of sync with the orchestra way, way too much.
In this case, I think the fault lies with both her and the conductor, depending on which occurrence you're listening to.

It's there, but very quiet, it's better in the studio recording.
