In Wing Chun do you attempt to protect and control the center line or do you plan to stay on either side of the centerline with the hopes that your apponent stays outside of your guard?

but in actually, Foshan has no one know about wing chun after the Cultural Revolution in China. and now the wing chun technique of Foshan ppl is teaching by the master in Hong Kong

I have drilled where you don't leave such a huge hole in the center while doing Chi Sao. Wrists occupy the centerline alternating from top to bottom while your energy is always going forward.
