Ninja Gaiden 2 - Mentor - CH2 - Sub Boss

Ninja Gaiden 2 - Mentor - CH2 - Sub Boss. Dead in 34 seconds. First run through Mentor (not a "+" game). Spent every last drop of money on getting Lunar to LVL 3 this early. This guy is pretty rough. Probably my 7th try on him. I didn't want to use any health powerups since I found I needed them later for Genshin.

man i think i've put in a good 40 min on this. i was trying to execute a similar plan but ryu stops charging if he gets stuck with an explosive shuriken which pretty much means a death sentence for me. i think they forgot to mention that luck has a lot to do with mastery of the ninja way heh. great job by the way.

Luck... it's true! The second battle with Zedonius on Master Ninja mode is ridiculous. I died for *days*. Then, I got really fortunate after 2,348 tries (or at least, that's what it felt like) and killed him while using only one health item. Very inconsistent.

i think my strategy works a little bette rthan yours on mentor... i have athe talons upgraded to level 2 at this point and i just izuma drop the ninjas and use ut on boss it destroys over half his health.

Holy shyt this game is hard as hell. I mean, it aint that hard. Acolyte was challenging, and warrior was hard enough, but once you play it on mentor, it gets cheezy. I don't even wanna know what master ninja looks like. Actually i do.

i upgraded my master sword instead of falcon's talons / the lunar staff. any ways to possibly even pull that off on mentor difficulty? ;O i got like no healing items and only 1 ninpo

Huh. Figures. Just tried again today and beat him on my second try lol. Well, no I'm without any items or NinPo, and wondering what the hell awaits me on the rooftops lol.

It's unfortunate that, as is often the case in these games, often some of these harder battles comes down to pure old-fashioned luck lol. SOmetimes I can start the battle landing a UT on him no prob, others he does a wind slash or I get an IS thrown in my eyeballs... Meh, I suppose sooner or later he'll go down. I did manage to beat him once, but died trying to take care of the ninjas lol.

Wow. I'm in the middle of trying to beat this guy myself. Well, I've already died at least a dozen or more times. Unfortunately my Lunar's only lvl. 1 while my DS is lvl.2 (Rest of the essence was spent on a few items lol...)

I just don't kow what the hell to do here lol. I mean, I have a couple of Grains, but still. Often it seems like I get IS spammed so bad I can't even get a few decent hits off before I'm dead lol. Ah well, patience is a virtue.

If anyone is still having problems with him, this is the way I do it, do the same thing casting inferno at the beginning to kill those two guys, then use your staff (only needs to be level two) and keep jumping/dodging all the time exectuing jump+X+X+Y attacks (weak weak strong while jumping) this does major damage to the boss and all the ninjas that throw the incdendiary shurikens get instantly killed because he does the spinning piledriver on them.

need help, i already completed this game on warrior and unlocked mentor, however.......

since doing a couple of one weapon only runs I can no longer access mentor or the 3rd outfit, what's up?! do i have to do warrior all over again??
