. . . makes this hour worth living to hear Anthony Rolfe Johnson and David Willison bring forth the beloved spirits of Ralph Vaughan Williams and dear Robert Louis Stevenson. And the finale glows silver silence.

Though a relatively nice voice, I find this style of singing too mannered, overly trained, precious. Typical English tenor sound. I would rather hear john tom, tom allen any day.

Incredibly beautiful singing that brings tears to one's eyes. A wonderful singer, taken from us all too soon. May he rest in peace....

Very lovely! This song is usually performed much too fast in my opinion. This is a great interpretation, albeit the rolled "r"s are a bit on the excessive side. Fantastic voice, nonetheless. I have some other recordings featuring Mr. Johnson, and his singing is just wonderful.

Wonderful. A splendid example for ambitious tenors out there.
