  • Gothic?

I'd say they're just neofolk or something...or maybe you just should not classify some bands.

  • Neofolk perhaps. But Death in June really defies classification. Whatever you think of the motivations of Douglas, it's simply brilliant music.

  • this song can never be as good as when Rose sings it with Dougie P...

  • A quiet place, a good wine, Death in June.

    The heaven.

  • @AntiMusick Quite true. Apocalyptic folk is a term that David Tibet takes credit for. He said he was asked to define the group of people he was with at the time, and he replied "I guess we are Apocalyptic folk." Whether this is apocryphal or not is anyone's guess.

  • @Lunarwill back in late 80s and early 90s we called it Apocalyptic Folk...

  • @reichoftheblacksun Technically, Neofolk is a child of the 80s Dark Wave and Industrial scene. therefore, it is - or at least was - part of the Gothic scene. Nevertheless, Di6 stands beyond classification.

  • Yes! and DiJ is always driving more mystical

DiJ is simply a corner stone, a monument of the Underdround Music Culture

  • yeah youre right nobody can classificate it.

    its a mixture of neofolk/industrial/experimental/neoclassical

  • jaki kurwa gothic???? pokurwiło cie do reszty, najbliżej jak już klasyfikować to apokaliptyczny neofolk.
