I mean, what firm is gonna give Dennis Kucinich a bunch of money for his campaign? With the exception of law firms and small businesses, Kucinich will not be getting much corporate money, I can tell you that. But if the Democrats' theory were true, they WOULD give him lots of money b/c that "would influence him" by default.
People should focus on the corrupt natures' of those who are corrupted by Big Money, not the fact that someone gets a big donation. That proves nothing. The Left wants you to believe people vote "pro-corporation" or against certain causes just b/c big firms gave them the money. But that's nonsense. A firm doesn't just give every person 5 grand who's running regardless of their views or party.
They give you the money based on platform and voting record, duh.
Campaign finance reform is a scam. Corrupt folks will be corrupt, and good folks will stay good, usually. How much money you have will not change that by much. If you're originally 'good' but easily influenced by money, well, then, you weren't all that 'good' to begin with, now were you?
This is the problem with the Left's argument. They assume that naturally honest folks with integrity can easily be swayed by a little cash or sway others. It's not that simple.
Another IJ win! WOOT!
