@feidoodoo in case you're curious, the order of dialects being sung is: Wu/Shanghainese, Hokkien/Fukienese, Toishanese (a sub-dialect of Cantonese), Teochew/Chaozhouese, and finally Cantonese.... Personally, it's a great example of the linguistic diversity that exists in China! Happy CNY! ^_^!
@feidoodoo - it's a Chinese New Year song performance from 1992, with some of the biggest celebs in Hong Kong from that time (ie. the portly woman in red at the beginning was one of my most favourite entertainers from the era). Each of the groups are singing a Chinese New Year song in a different Chinese dialect, which is quite rare on live TV, considering how it's usually only standard Mandarin or Cantonese that's showed on TV.
