  • Hey, just heard about you courtesy of Marc Gunn mentioning you on facebook -- I can see in teh first 30 seconds of this vid that he picked the right person for the new album. I like the way you hold the bow. ;-)

    Lovely performance!

  • @rattyboy31 Thank you so much! :D I like holding the bow that way for trad type fiddle tunes, as I think it lends a nice light, bouncy expression.

    Will you be attending ALEP2?

  • Excellent fiddling. Thank you.

  • @olmmbill Thanks! :)

  • Awesome! Really like the Ornamentation! Sooo Natural :)

  • @madfidler Thanks! :)

  • No, I live amongst the yankees in new england [not by choice - je vien de la louisanne, merci beaucoup]. And Kentucky is too far away at the moment. Now after my plans for global domination finish panning out next year I will have the cash and time to become an embarrassing roadie following you, Marc, Ed Miller, and a host of others around the country while drinking myself sick 2-3 x a week. And you are right about the bow -- that's 90% of the fiddle, isn't it? hehe.

  • very nice just wish the clowns would shut up around the keg

  • Hello from Finland! And thanks a lot for the great playing!

The second tune is really from Finland, from its Swedish speaking area.

And it is called "Grannas bastu", in English "the neighbors sauna".

Almost every family in Finland have the own sauna, as you may know.

Please visit here at the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival in some year!

  • Thank you!
