@saulwilliams56 That's a very ignorant and narrow view of homelessness in the UK! Some end up homeless because they were teenagers or children who ran away from home because of abusive parents or guardians. Others are just plain unlucky. The man who phones and says it will never happen to him shouldn't be so quick to have said that because you don't always know what's coming round the corner! Especially in today's economic climate. It's pretty naive and stupid to assume otherwise!

people who happen to be homel;ss in birtain choose to be homeles, the council help out enough, there is a system to help people get off the streets but the choose to be drunks because they are lazy, and theyre are many churches, mosques etc that could be put to better use - homelessness

I think all the Christian churches should take in the homeless and all vicarages that would be a great help to the homeless...or maybe all the land and property the church has sell it all off and use the proceeds to home and feed the homeless...but of course that's not what Christianity is all about is it???

I did not say fuck the homeless, I said that being homeless does not give one the right to invade the private property of another. The right to property is of the utmost importance and others cannot be allowed to abuse it.

Perhaps you believe that breaking and entry and theft are perfectly acceptable and justifiable simply on the basis that one is homeless, however the vast majority of citizens do support property rights.

A good point,unless the squatters are crack dealers of course.

I feel squatting is ok in unused property BUT if the owner wishes to live in the property or the landlord wishes to install tenants the squatters should have to leave.

I paid my taxes all my life and endured what I've been through because I never had affordable, longterm housing or a base.

This country does not look after people. I'm a son of the borough of Fulham by birth and have been treated less than scum by all parties involved in the process of 'homelessness'

ANOYONE can become homeless.
