@MudAnt its the air commpressor this is the only type of trolley buses that makes that sound becuase the air compresser is old even gmc new look diesel buses makes that sound even bus 125 at seasore trolley museum makes that noise alote becuase its never ran in edmonton sinc 1993 the seasore trolley museum got it running properly its going to take long time before it to gets used for the over head wires at seasore trolley museum

Are you sure that these trolleybuses are quiet ? Because the GM New Look buses are very noisy and they have a hard sound of engine.

This is a comment if followed will insure that trolleys are kept. Call councilmen that voted to discontinue trolleys to have a revote, and keep them. Tell them they will be voted out of office if they do not.

The city voted to phase them out. I ride on the trolleys everyday! That new flyer was nice, but they went with hybrids

BTW most of the older trolley buses have westinghouse d/c motor 600v with a chopper, air compressor and controls
