Here you go a view of Twister at Knoebels grove from the front seat. This is station to station showing both lifts. This a a very intresting woodie. It is a remake of the Mr.Twister wooden coaster from the old Six Flags Elitch Gardens. The coaster at six flags was torn down when the park moved to its current home. Knobels bought the blue prints for the orginal Mr. Twister and with some minor changes Twister was born!

  • There is a ride almost exactly like this at Cedar Point called the Gemini

  • Gemini has steal rails and its a racer. I have been on both rides. Twister is a true wooden coaster and in my view far better and has a very unique layout.

  • I wish they would re-build the original that was at Elitch's. Not this "inspired" crap.

  • This is a great ride. Knoebels could not fit the original Mr. Twister in that spot. They had to make some changes to the ride to get it to fit. The result is a very good wooden coaster.

  • That is the scariest ride in the park because it is so old xD Scares the crap out of me each time I go on it xD I'm afraid the thing is going to break xD

  • Its not that old. Phenox is far older!

  • I was always afraid of raising my hands cuz i thought i would hit the wood lol

  • love this ride

  • Very similar is most respects to the original Mr Twister in Denver, This is coaster is set up in reverse format of the original, and there are a couple of turns that are different, but still looks like a very nice rebuild of Mr Twister! We do miss Mr Twister in Colorado, Twister 2 at the new Elitch Gardens has it's own personality, but it cannot compare to the real thing!

  • i'd say that too, but i've never been to knoebels, or let alone pennsylvania.

  • gemini is pretty much just a double figure 8. this one has a lot more to it.

  • Plus, Twister was built completely in house. No outside construction crew built, knoebels own staff did.

Also, When it was built, the flying Swoop curve off the top lift wasn't braced like it is now, and the anti roll backs after the double helix were not installed until 2002. Also the skid brake that lead into the station at the end were added in late 99 to cut back on the air time the coaster got when entering station.

I rode it before the station was even finished and it onlyhad 1 train
