  • Yes, its`t not Dawn Upshaw. This could be Zofia Kilanowicz, polish soprano singer. She used to sing to a polish edition of III-rd Symphony. The recording is quite poor, although Mr. Gorecki wanted her vocals during his birthday celebrations in Warsaw Philharmonic a few years ago. Live this could sound better:-).

  • Yes ! Sung by Dawn Upshaw, a video of her singing was given on Arte TV. Splendid and unforgetable ! Dawn Upshaw's emotion was wonderful, and her beauty unbelievable !

  • THAN YOU. BUT HAVE YOU seen the trlaier in the cincma it bad. this music would have been much better.

  • 1st movement. Symphony of Sorrowfull songs - Henryk Gorecki.

  • Is this music from the 1st or 3rd movement?

  • look like great film

  • Sadly this is not Dawn Upshaw,1990, if you like this piece of music (It is my favourite symphony bar none) please seek out the Zinman London Sinfonietta version of 1990, the soprano is considerably more in tune with the emotions of a grieving mother.

  • You are amazing.

I think my favorite one is Atonement.
