This is me doing a rough version of "Portrait of Tracy" from Jaco Pastorious. Just 1 of the greatest basses of all time. I haven't learned it completely yet.

  • Is that the John Patitucci-bass?

  • No. It is a Tune bass. Patitucci basses are Yamaha and they are nice too.

  • it's clear you don't even know how this song sounds in the real world

  • Yes, I do have the album and I am very much aware. Thanx for stopping by.

  • ke mal sonido :S:S:S:S:S:S:S

  • I don't even know what that means. LOL.

  • nice tune red was the best color

  • whaaat? well guy i can't see what you mean. Peace out and keep playing, maybe you should try a four chords bass. Don't give up ;°D

  • It most certainly is easier on a 4-string. Too many strings and my thick fingers were not a good combination.

  • Unfortunately the sound quality wasn't great. I'd read up the music more as you seem to be figuring it out piece by piece. Props though, as I can't play 5 or six string basses well.

    :D

If you have a four string, post the next one up playing that, it's easier w/the harmonics.
