how to get into developer mode on kindle 4 non-touch version

the name of the file is ENABLE_DIAGS
just create a new text document and put this as a filename, remove the extension and click yes

to navigate in the dev menu use the 5 way button and read what it says on the screen etc "press fw left to execute"

Hey... I'm a noob... I can't get it in diag mode. I mean is it supposed to remain connected via usb? cause even if use safely remove thing it will stil remain on usb mode on my laptop and when I restart everything is normal... that's what u do right?

please kubbur87 help me, i got into developer mode on kinle 4 as you did, but once i tried to exit from that mode, i cant!! is it broke?? it is sort of blocked...help me please, how can i exit developer mode

@Somaupassant if its frozen you can try to hold the power button FOR FULL 20 SECONDS, record the time

to exit diagnostics mode go to exit, reboot or disable diags in the first menu -- disable diagnostics -- and press the left button on the 5 way button
