  • who is that geezer with the mandolin?

  • First time I've heard Chris Leslie referred to as a 'Geezer'. Anyway, yes it is CL; the line up here is Simon Nicol (Lead Vocals/Acoustic Guitar), Dave Pegg (Bass/Vocals), Ric Sanders (Violin), Chris Leslie (Mandolin/Vocals) and Gerry Conway (Drums).

  • This is great, Simon & co in shorts. They must have been in Oz!

  • Yep, 'The Basement' club in Sydney. This was the occasion when the band arrived in the country on Wednesday, played every night and then flew back to the UK on Monday!!!

  • OMG!! I could watch Ric all day every day, he's a god!!!!

  • All very mellow - much prefer the raw sound from the olden days - sigh..

  • Chris is the niecest, most gentil bloke you could ever meet. Such an inspiration to me.

  • never cared much for chris, thanks for posting this!

  • Chris leslie has a way of turning every song into child's tune....don't care for him much, & as much as I like ric, swarbrick was a more raw fiddler & more of a purist, I miss him. thanks again sir pat!

  • simon is fairport, and always has been! thanks sir pat!

  • May be Chris Leslie?
