http://www.thorwaldjorgensen.com - Two recordings of Dmitri Shostakovich's use of the Theremin in his filmscores. The first fragment is from the film "ODNA" (1931). This is one of the first soundtracks which features the Theremin. The scene in which this fragment is used shows the main character in a snowstorm. The second fragment is from "GIRLFRIENDS" (1936). Here you hear a series of bizarre variants of the Internationale (the anthem of international socialism) played on Theremin as the titular girlfriends (serving as nurses) and some wounded soldiers flee from the enemy by train.
