Republican Immigration Policies Crushing Hispanic Membership

During the roundtable discussion on "Meet The Press" Tim Russert posts the results of two recent polls which show an overwhelming number of Hispanics identify themselves as Democrats. As NBC Political News Director Chuck Todd points out, the Republican's stance on immigration could have an enormous impact on the Hispanic vote in 2008, especially in Florida.

In 2001, Texas became the first state in the country to pass an in-state tuition law. The law, signed by Governor Rick Perry, created a national movement. Many private universities also now award aid to illegal immigrant students. Rick Perry is a very hispanic-friendly Governor. The real racists in America are the liberal democrats who try to pit every race against each other & try to win their votes. If democrats really opposed Arizona's law they'd call for the repeal of the CA penal code!

There are latinos in the army, navy and the marines and in many work positions. Race is an issue in the country , everything is demographics. It is institutionalized, that's the reason we have segregation. The term "Hispanic" is not a race, it is not even a culture.
