In a measured approach, Oracle's Ellison defined cloud computing. His definition at OpenWorld differed vastly from his colorful rant during a September 2009 dinner.

  • SMART GUY

  • Fact is, Larry predicted cloud computing 16 years ago in the documentary called, Triumph of the Nerds.

  • This is larry at his best! Thanks LE - So, right..people are marketing cloud computing to be the next big thing..It's simply another approach to a computing

  • I came here from another video where Oracle CEO Larry Ellison rants about “cloud computing” being the most idiotic crap ever thought of, and complete insanity. Which of course is a well-known fact, So now he’s for it? Nah, I just think he went “real actual Gipsy oracle person”: If there are idiots dumb enough to believe this shit, then let’s make money off of them! ^^

  • he seems to use his hands in that area a lot so a mic seems more natural for him.

  • He sure likes microphones, why not use a clip-on?

  • Hello Larry!

I think it is a livining thing even though it is not life per se.

In other words, it is a process to reach the goal of achieving whatever you desire in whichever form you prefer within a set time frame.

It may not have big commercial footprint because it cannot be defined yet readily available.

In that sense, any firm which try to utilize conventional patronizing framework will fail because on that very moment it will precipitate into the rain and become cloud no more.

  • strongly agree with Larry !

  • He was smart and funny in 2009. He is still right now.

  • He's got his head in the clouds
