  • Very cool song. I have never heard it played that way. Absolutely sweet guitar. Would you mind if I asked what chords you're playing there?

  • reply from my dad... Ed says...

"I am playing the coo coo in open e. the cords that repeat are E7th, A, E, Hit a barred G (3rd fret) at the end and repeat untill the end of each half verse - resolve the end of each half verse with the same barred G (3rd fret). The barred G holds longer at the end of the verse and less at the half verse. the cords are available at my web site - Open E tuning cords."

  • what exactly is a baseball bat neck?

  • that just refers to the size and shape of the neck. more round and thick rather than flat. this was somewhat common on older "cheap" guitar's that did not have a truss rod installed to adjust the relief or bow in the neck. these guitars have the relief planed or sanded into the necks. this one has a some what triangular shape to the neck profile. i hope that made sense...

  • Real nice lookin' guitar...what is that, a Regal? Check out my videos, I have piles of parlor guitar demonstration videos.

  • actually it's unknown... my dad rebuilt it from a basket case- he had to install another back inside the old one- it was split top to bottom- the top was caved in and ruined- so he built a new top of engleman spruce- and braced it like a martin dread- the thing is a fire cracker- and now it's mine-

and i have been watching your clips for quite a while- a parlor guitar search get's right to your clips- 8^)

    nice stuff-

i am currently building an aluminum and copper 5 string parlor-
