Paul said on the racer x site - ATTENTION SHOPPERS...

Yes, it`s true. Now that I have used all 100 of my guitars on the song
"I LIKE ROCK", I`ve decided to try to reduce my collection a bit.
Plus there will be less for me to pack when I finally make the move to L.A.

Cowtown is a great vintage guitar shop in Las Vegas, and I`ve done a lot of work (both buying and selling) with Mark before. He`s supercool.

Also, there are no PGMs for sale. The guitars range from old Gibson and Epiphone guitars to my early HEAVY METAL Racer X guitars like the Pink B.C. Rick Mockingbird and the XOXO-painted Dynalectron. All of these guitars are cool or I wouldn`t have bought them in the first place. But I`ve got TOO DAMN MANY!

Own a piece of history! They`re going fast!

All proceeds go to benefit... uh.. well... ME!!!

But I promise to invest it into a killer new studio in L.A. so you can look forward to even better sounding music in the future!

Thanks,

Paul'
so
Back in the Spring 2003, Paul sold off a bunch of his guitars. Fortunately, most of them were sold to members of the Racer X board. 2 very important historical guitars...the XO guitar and the Pink BC Rich were sold to 2 huge Racer X fans, Sean and Jim, respectively. i am jim!

paul said on the Racer X forum:
'I do have a few pangs of nostalgia over giving this one up.

I played this guitar a lot during the early Racer X days when we were playing The Roxy and The Country Club.

My very first guitar endorsement was actually with a small company owned by Wayne Charvel. He had sold his name to Grover Jackson, so I can`t even remember what the guitar was called. Soon after, Wayne went to work for B.C. Rich. Being a loyal guy, I followed him there. That`s when they made the fabulous PINK MOCKINGBIRD that you now own. A few months after that, Wayne moved to Gibson. I said "Enough moving!" and went to Ibanez where I still am.

By the way, the guitar on back of "Street Lethal" is actually a yellow Mockingbird that belonged to Lita Ford. My pink one wasn`t finished yet, so I had to borrow hers for the photo.

Enjoy, and please apply proper amounts of Aquanet.

Paul'

  • If you ever consider selling it, I am a huge collector of BC Riches and ESPECIALLY pink ones...it would be in good company of other cool axes, many owned by other great rockers, and would look great in my collection as seen on Flickr... :)

  • @jokeysmurf711 take a number and join the que! thanks

  • If I throw a stick, will you leave?

  • @enix165 also the neck pu has Pauls foil shielding inside that he added!

  • @enix165 neck pickup is a stacked single coil, possibly a Seymour duncan (wire colours) and bridge pu is a Jeff Beck Duncan.all stock

Kahlers are very responsive, but very light to use .Paul removed this one.

    thanks

  • @bitchslapper12 A Kahler is a type of locking tremolo, sorta like a Floyd Rose but it relies on cams and rollers instead of springs like FRs. They're generally known to be easier to set up and don't require a backrout but sometimes they're known to be bad with tuning stability(I'm pretty sure that's why Paul swapped his out) and I don't think they're as responsive. I'm pretty sure both guitarists in Slayer use them, as does Jerry Cantrell. Anyways, sweet axe! Do you know what the neck pup is?

  • What is a Kahler?

  • i would take it in red or black. but still thats a real cool guitar you got there

  • Sweet...please save my contact info and let me know if you ever decide to sell it...it's the exact type of guitar that would fit in very well into my collection of artist-owned guitars and BC Riches.

    thanks,

  • imagine playing it, knowing Paul's fingers once danced across the same fingerboard 0_0... you lucky bastard

  • It's look like Hide's pink MG ^^
