I was just trying to describe one of these vehicles to a friend of mine. Now I can show him this video. My favorite camera angle is the "right rear lifting section cam". Top is a close second.

Haha. Hindsight is 20/20 !!! Fantastic story!

Lea Hyke gave me a ride across San Francisco in her Schmitt on our way to the Arcane Auto Society meet about 10 years ago. It was nothing like being in an Isetta ! I bought all the KR200's that Jim Crowder had left after he restored his KR200. Aprox 4 of them, got 1 together but ended up selling it before I got the real engine from Germany.

Haha. You are right. An Isetta is nothing like a Messerschmitt. A drive thru San Franciso in a Schmitt would be fun indeed ! The big hills could be quite a challenge........ for either car.

Awesome video Mr. 2stroketurbo! That FAT GECKO is just what you needed, looks very sturdy and safe with it's DOUBLE suction cups! Sorry we missed joining in for the ride but we were stuck on Kauai again, just another boring 80 degree sunny day in paradise without a Messerschmitt to tool around in. I wouldn't want to bring my Messerschmitt to Kauai as the salt air would rust it away to nothing in short order. Keep those CAM films coming. Mahalo!

Thank you for the warm Hawiian weather update, boy does that sound nice right about now. Maybe I should rig a bobblehead "hula-girl" on the Messerschmitt dash to warm my thoughts. Be sure to wear sunscreen and Happy New Year to you guys
