  • Unbelievable!

He contends that Church and State remain separate! How dare he? How dare he try to find a commonality to unite us rather than take the fanatical tactic of instilling prejudice and religious discrimination!

Come on people now. Smile on your brother. Everybody get together, try to love one another right now.

YOUR BOOK PROCLAIMS THIS IS THE NEW COMMANDMENT!

  • I dont see why people just dont respect the first amendment. If we *actually* separate church and state, the U.S.A would be a better place.

  • Actually I'm pretty sure that he would be a Christian...this country was founded on that...when he said seperation from church and state I believe he meant government in the church not church in government...and by church I mean God...they still pray in Congress...and that has been there since the beginning

  • Please stop being so charmed people!! Or should I say Christians. This man is not a follower of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please understand this man is an agent of oragnized group of people who are allowed to lye as long as 'the end justifies the means'. This man is whore and able to be and has been compromised,

  • @gnorthcarolina14- thats not even what the first amendment says...

  • @buckstick123 You are deluded. WHERE did Jefferson say that God belongs in government? What speech, what letter, what document did he produce that includes that insane attribution? He said, in general, on many occasions that the religion of a politician should not be divulged or brought into the political arena. He did this himself. Jefferson was a Deist (but would be closely aligned today with Unitarian beliefs) and made no political hay out of that fact. PWNED

  • the separation of church and state meant that politics and things to that nature should be out of the church. the country is based on God,he is saying things and standing for things that is against God. thomas jefferson said church is meant to be in the state but state not in the church...which like i said in the first sentence it means politics and things to that nature shouldnt be in the church but faith in God and things that involve God should be in our government.

  • in the end we really do need to separate church and state. If muslims put there morals and teachings right next to the ten commandments in court, or on the sabbath ( jews ) we cant touch any electronic, or the amish where we cant drive cars. Its offensive and funny to think about it but repressing their beliefs to yours is selfish so why dont we take down the ten commandments, leaves abortionist alone, and be in a society that derives from equality instead of ideals that a book perceives

  • I'm a Christian, so it's surprising to see some of my fellow Christians accuse Pres. Obama of being anti-religious. He's probably the most religious president we've had since Carter, and I would argue, ever. Unlike other politicians, he demonstrates a serious and sincere understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ, even while being aware he represents a pluralistic people.

  • He just needs to get closer to God. He's holding Him at arm's length.

  • @IAmHilarious Which is bad. God tells us to trust the Bible (God's Word) as the source of Truth.
