  • con't to Doriseuqador: I am saddened that you have not taken the time to know the organization and the stand they take for God and for giving aid to the less fortunate, Usually they are the first people to assist in a disaster whether it be stateside or overseas. God bless you as you seek truth in this circumstance.

  • con't to Doriseequador: Please take the time to do your own investigating on World Vision then make an informed decision on what you believe about this organization. As for my personal experience. I have been sponsoring children for decades thru WV I receive letters often from my children and their families on how WV has changed their lives, through education, skill training, purchasing of small business, so much much more.

  • con't to Dorisequador: The reality is that 87% of money sent for child sponsorship goes into the child and their community welfare. Unlike most other organizations where as little as 10% goes to the source of which it was intended. I myself and all Child Ambassadors are volunteers for World Vision, we pay our own fare should we wish to visit our child and we pay for World Vision to take us, we pay for the vehicle and gas and for the interpreter.

  • con't to Dorisequador: These standards fall under the categories of public accountability, use of funds, solicitation and informational materials, fundraising practices, and governance. WV is also accountable to it donors but also monitored for financial accountability by several charity oversight agencies, including Charity Navigator, from which WV as received the highest possible rating.

  • I am sorry Dorisequador that you are mislead regarding the sponsorship funds of World Vision. There accounts and money distribution is open for all to see, and they are followed closely by the ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) also the CBBB's office for philanthropic affairs publishes a comprehensive 22 point list of standards for philanthropic organizations.
