My Kitten Bucky, the kitten with attitude
Bucky is one tough kitten. He was abandoned as a tiny kitten and bottle fed. He loves that toy and won't let me stop playing. If I am cooking he steals food, even broccoli, then he growls at me if I try to take it back. Even our dog is afraid of the Buckster.
He looks Siamese but the girl who rescued him said his mother is Black and White.
Bucky's mom was a street cat. She probably did not abandon Bucky. I get the feeling that he got separated from his litter. Mom probably was not well fed and the kittens were small. My friend who found Bucky thought he was 9 weeks old when we got him, but the vet said he was at least 4 months old. He was small.
A sad note: The rest of Bucky's littermates never got homes. One was hit by a car the other one has already had kittens, thus repeating a sad cycle.

If there's one thing I would like to know in life is why does a mother cat abandons her kittens; I thought they have the instinction of rearing her kids 'til they're old enough; can anyone out there please explain it to me?
