mustang with 410 gears vs 2008 mustang gt with bolt on

my buddy gt with full exhaust, intake, tune, and I think he may have 373 gears but were both not sure. I got 410s and he still beats me WTF!

@JBWHITEGT People lie about the mods they have done to their car all the time, even your closest friends. One of my close friends used to race at the track where I currently live in the early 90's. He used to kick some serious ass at the track. He had 4.10 gears in his car, but he told everyone that he ran 3.73's the whole time to throw off the competition. It worked. Everyone else would install 3.73's in order to try to be like him, but still come up short, because he was running 4.10's.

your in a auto, if he has a 5 speed thats why. auto from a dig, and 5 speed from a roll allday

4.10's for sure if you want 3rd at 50mph.

@nevermissclancom I want to add 410's or 3.73's to my mustang. im still trying to decide. I dont "race" mine but do enjoy the pick up in speed. Which would do better say if i am going 50mph and dropped it into 3rd to take off? Best overall?

4.10 gears are great for the drag trip but from a roll they are not. IMO the best all around gear are 3.73's. I had them in my GT and I only gained 1 tenth in the 1/8 but it felt faster at anyspeed and my roll racing improved. 4.10 gears can often be too much. Still though 4.10s are fun! :)
