This is the final product of the Movietrailer we made in school. The project took us about a month, from ideas and storyboarding, to filming and editing.
FYI, We will probably never make the entire film.
Programs used:
Adobe After Effects - Editing, clipping, compositing and final render.
Adobe Premiere Pro - Capture from DV-cam.
Adobe Soundbooth - For tweeking voiceovers and sounds.
Maxon Cinema 4D - Where I made the laserbeam and the earth-scene.

Heh, well. We all had our own DV-cameras, but we didn't bother to use them, so we used two Sony DV cameras borrowed from school. For 3-4 years ago, those cameras would've cost around 2100 dollars.

did you use a specific type of camera to make this ? the footage just looks much clearer than your usual home video camera.
