  • Is this you speaking Viet?

  • @thanhhaiphongviet

Yes, i´s me ... I have a book with Songs of the Jing Minority in China, written in Nom! In the book only the pronounciation of the Jing people in china is given IPA. But in this Video I give the standard Vietnamese pronounciation.

    The books name is 京族喃字史歌集.

  • Đây là chữ Nôm à bạn???

  • @thanhhaiphongviet

Oh, it is .. mở tiệc , ok.

Well, in my book only the pronounciation from Jing Minority in china was given, which is "mə3 ti:k8", tịch is standard HanViet for 席, so I thought it is the right pronounciation. However chinese Jing i: correspond to vietnamese iê, so I could have guess it.

  • @SkyDarmos I'd say a good blend between north and central, but less north. You might want to try emphasizing the tonal accents in your speech more clearly. Also, by tịch do you mean tiệc?

  • @thanhhaiphongviet

    Really?

Which sounds do you mean exactly?

I thought it is north vietnamese ^^

  • @thanhhaiphongviet Your accent sounds sort of central Vietnamese

  • @SkyDarmos dang that's cool! Your pronunciation is pretty good.
