@chainsawlobotomy Those "crossing noises" are grace notes, doublings, etc. They're supposed to be there. They add character to the music. Otherwise, bagpipes would just be plain and blah.

I'm learning the green hills of tyrol now. Have no problem playing Highland Laddie at 120 BPM, but this song fucking crushes my soul as well at my carpal tunnels.

You need to watch how your fingers cover the chanter holes. Your making a lot of crossing noises and the notes aren't crisp. Your out of tune as well, I hope your students know that.
