I knew that name sounded very familiar yes, Captain Pike is the 1st CAPTAIN of the origional Enterprise STAR TREK TV series. Actor Bruce Greenwood is a fine actor & will do him justice as I'm sure the rest of the new Star Trek Cast members of the movie...'great interview Manny your awesome!

@drkvenger He did a great job conveying the traits of Captain Pike that we fans saw in "The Cage" - strong-willed, snarky, resourceful, and no-nonsense, and I think that's important because Pike is a very underrated character. Because (novels and comics aside) he only appeared in the two-part "Menagerie" episode and the first pilot, most casual fans don't know about him and I appreciated how the film helped Pike finally get the respect he deserves as a captain of the Enterprise. =)
