You make some good points, but Wenger didn't apologize (directly). In his post-match interview he even flatly refused to explain the sub and said that the fans 'don't understand'. He just said 'a tactical mistake was made'. That's all.

And please... stop pausing... after every word group... to try to leave an impression.

It's a fine rhetorical tool, but when overused just annoys the crap out of everyone and destroys an otherwise well thought-out and heart-felt speech on Wenger.
