Just because they wrote a song about Freemasonry, it doesn't mean they believe it. It's just a cool subject to write about.

Petrucci is just into this interesting stuff, like most of us. Any clandestine group, free masons, skull & bones society, etc. capture our imaginations, good to write lyrics about. (I can picture Jordan Rudess wearing robes and being a grand master, can't you)

Who would invite musicians to become Masons? Well, no one would. If you knew anything about FreeMasonry, you would know how ludicrous that question is. I am a musician and a DIE HARD DT fan...I am also Master of a Masonic Lodge. I have been a metal head a lot longer than I have been a Mason, but the two co-exist beautifully.

ok now i'm pissed... i just baught this album (to re-iterate myself i love these guys) and low and behold, i turn through cover booklet to this song and what do i see??? who else owns this album cause you can look yourself, there is a clear picture in the middle of the 2 pages of the freemasons symbol: the angle and a tri?? not too sure what theyre called, but on those pages is clearly the symbol.. and wtf dude whats to say THEY were into masonry beforehand...
