Nigel Benn VS. Gerald McClellan - 2/25/95 - Part 4

Part 4 of 6: In one of the most aggressive fights ever, Nigel Benn wins as Gerald McClellan takes a knee in the 10th Round and is unable to continue. It would be the end of McClellan's career as he collapsed after the fight. He was rushed to the hospital where he spent 11 days in a coma. When he woke up he was unable to walk, blind and 80% deaf.

Gerald really fought the wrong fight. Like most punchers, he got too caught up in his own immortality as such; bad move against a respectable and durable champion like Benn who fought the fight of his life!

Incredible fight and huge heart from Benn coming back from the jaws of defeat on 2 occasions. Had it been another ref it could have been a different story. So sad to see what happened to McClellan.

@ducc764 read the book "War Baby" by Kevin Mitchell written a couple of years after the fight, goes into detail about mcclenan, the dog fights, the disorder in the camp etc really interesting book
