Gladys Knight and the Pips put this song out in late '66 much earlier than any of the otehr Mowtown singers

No, the Miracles (Smokey Robinson's group) was the original. However, over time Marvin's version became more prominent.

Just recently stumbled upon this - Marvin's was the original I think?? But this is a great version.
