Join Umphrey's McGee for a look at this groundbreaking experiment from the first in a series of S2 events held in Milwaukee's Eagle's Ballroom on October 3rd, 2009. The Stew Art Series is an interactive fan experience where audience members conduct the bands live improvisations.
@vankula they sell that many tickets on purpose to keep it intimate

@vankula At least in the case of last weekend's S2 event the tickets were $100(though a bit went to Vega Productions which is a worthy cause) and the event is 90 minutes. I think that confuses people when they could just pay $25-33 and see a three hour show.

Radical idea and the musical guts to pull it off. Hats off to Umphrey's McGee on the S2 creative concept for directed improvisation. Very cool.

well, if you read about it they only sold 50 tickets which makes a sparse crowd. if it was bigger it would be hard for everyone to participate as much. i was at this and it was amazing

Man, you would think an event like that would sell more tickets, but the crowd is SPARSE.

Lots of bands use Mozes for people to text stuff to a screen but none of them have ever done it while the band was playing and then they react to the texts. Amazing.
