@ryder788 Be a little more realistic, this is what young mothers need in order to keep up nursing passed the time we want to leave our homes. Obviously, we'd check their noses to make sure the airway is clear.

Breast cancer rates are highest in countries with the highest induced abortion rates. Breast cancer was infrequent before Roe vs Wade legalized abortion nationwide. Currently, there are about 1.2 million abortions in the U.S per year. By age 45, 42% of American women have had an abortion. Since Roe vs Wade in 1973, breast cancer rates in the U.S. have increased about 40%. Induced abortion cause biological changes to occur in breasts which make women more susceptible to breast cancer.

as a nursing mom myself, I used similar methods to nurse my kid. Not everyone wants to see boobs exposed (except the pervs looking for porn online & think they can fool others by using "breastfeeding" as their search string instead of "porn".). The slit shirt here is a demo to show that such an item of clothing is available, but would also be worn under the item (instead of on top the white shirt the way she demo'd it here.). Rock on La Leche League!!

She is just trying to show that you can breastfeed and be covered at the same time. I think it is helpful. Some women rather bottle feed for that very reason, so I think it is helpful, esp. for new mothers.

The wonderful part: mom's body has the ability 2 strip out MOST of the bad chemicals. See, Nature basically tries its best to ensure survival of the species! Besides the nutritional part, there's the bonding, etc. That "special" magic between a breastfeeding mom & baby, something that can NEVER be replicated in a lab. Without this bonding, yeh the baby can still grow up well-adjusted, but there'll always be a little "something" missing emotionally.
Do I sound like a woman now, or what? LOL
