It is really quite amusing how Whites folk so blindly (and consistently) give White officers the benefit of the doubt concerning their motive for doing something questionably racist simply because a Black (Tom) person vouches for them. Yet if that SAME Black (Tom) said otherwise, they'd discount, insult, and accuse him of reverse racism!...go figure, huh?

I guess the resolve is that any Black person who shares their POV is credible.

Where has Kelly King been living? Under a rock? I am a black man and I have been accosted by the police on several occassions. More often than not they have used racial epithets and acted aggressively toward me. The Cambridge police onced detained me on suspision of armed robbery. For two hours I was berated by white officers whose every other word was an epithet. Where was Ms King and the other black officers who defended Crowley. She is shamless and Obama doesn't need her vote!!!!

All people seem uncomfortable criticizing people in "their camp" they do not want to seem like race betrayers. If these Black officers think that their White counterparts view Black citizens as they view them as colleagues, then they certainly have lost all touch with the reality of race relation in this country.
