http://www.TopFlight.TV worked with the Patriots Jet Team on an exciting project racing a 2010 Corvette ZR-1 against the latest L-39 added to the Patriots fleet.
This is the second segment featuring Race-1 between the Corvette ZR-1 owner/driver Dave, and Randy flying the newest L-39 jet in the Patriots Jet Team fleet.
This races happened at Castle Airport in Atwater, near Merced, in California's central valley. The retired Air Force Base was a perfect setting to let the pent up Vette unleash her power against a formidable foe.
Be sure to watch Race-2 to see if there's a different outcome... who will win this time?
Thanks to the http://www.PatriotsJetTeam.com
and Vette owner/driver Dave Ressa with
http://www.Da-LesAutoBody.com in Sunnyvale,
California for helping make it all happen.
Special thanks to the terrific folks at Castle Airport
for helping us produce an exciting program.
try that with a T38 talon next time and see how it goes ;)

It will be interesting how the L-39 executes a low level immelmann....not a lot of power but those straight wings should help. (?) Down hill all the way to the finish for the L-39...maybe push 500 MPH at the finish line?
I wonder how much the brakes on the L-39 can hold the aircraft if the the pilot spools up the engine..
The killer brakes on the Corvette should really come into play here.
