Mr Berry, at 4:05, misses the mark on what was expected from Affo-American singers. Nat King Cole anyone? Hello? Sam was not a musician per se PoetrySelite describes here. But he was a pristine, sophisticated enetrtainer and a pure singer with a gift. He mastered any genre, any stage and broke down barriers before there was a Michael Jackson. But remember Mr Cole too please.

"soothe me" is one of the greatest soul records ever made.

Wonderful! To see us as fans and lovers of Sam's legacy discuss who he was as a man, keep's his name "alive" and educates our youth. God bless the Cooke Family. I didn't have the opportunity to view the program as I was rehearsing with my band. I heard great reviews! Thanks for posting. "There are only 2 ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."~Vel Omarr

@mumbleora Sam Cooke and others are the reason people most people now dig deep and really sing. I heard Sam Cooke was an influence on Bob Marley.
