@LOVEEET Why don't you let your child participate on Halloween?

One would have to hear the entire dynamics behind what she is teaching. Its true tht kids have fun with it and get candy, and its also true that a lot of devilish things happen on halloween as well. These days we as followers of Jesus, really dont have time to play these games. Its up to us to train up our children in the way they should go. Not meaning to, but sometimes our children can be mislead and we not even be aware. Evil starts out early & grows up. Dont take chances.cover yours Angela

That makes no sense. Pease explain how the american version of halloween is harmful? I mean for crying out loud kids dress up, walk around with an adult who is trusted, they get candy and go home. How is that harmful to them when they are safe and they aren't at any door for longer than 3 sec. if there isn't a line. Thanks.

Ahh my favorite Holiday, Halloween is actually a christian holiday and thanks to the christians we can all dress like witches and celebrate the occult and candy! The two make a great mix and the children love it!
I just told my son's teacher today we don't "DO" halloween and she looked at me like I'm crazy. She said I will have to have an unexcused absence. He's eight and I have never let him do halloween . I wish I could come to your church your awesome. I could listen to you forever. Would a swedish blonde haired blue eyed mom be welcome in your church?

Halloween was originally celebrated in part by both Christians and pagans alike. For different reasons of course. Halloween was celebrated as "All Hallows Eve" which was in preperation of "All Saints Day" to be celebrated the day after.
Many Christian holidays are celebrated on the days of originally Pagan holidays to make the transition of Christianity from Paganism easier to remember. Easter, for instance, is celebrated around the Spring Equinox, Christmas around the Winter Solstice.
