A little tribute to the life and works of Carl Sagan. In particular, an excerpt from Chapter one of Pale Blue Dot, "we are here".

I know this just adds to the already crowded Pale blue dot video sea but I think that we have the opportunity to share the message with an audience that might have otherwise missed out on it. Sorry about the lack of videos lately. We found better things to do over TG break (crazy, right?). I'll try to make something stupid/funny soon but I can't guarantee anything with finals coming up. I will say, however, that with winter break approaching we're bound to make a video out of boredom. If you have any video suggestions just put them in the comments or something.

This would be a great thing to email around BTW ;)

I watch this video every few weeks now, whenever I start to lose faith in people and faith in the world. Something about it just struck me, and in the best ways. I've shown this video to so many people now-- usually after a long disagreement or debate.

Every person always thanks me for sharing it, as if my capacity to Google makes me the initiating point--so I guess I'll go to the source.
