@dmgoedde those are just bad GUI programming. This video was taken a long time ago and the GUI didn't have a lot of time in service. Those blips are errors in the translation of the quaternion output from the unit into the artificial horizon display. You can see more evidence at about 39 seconds when all of a sudden the horizon ground appears.
Thanks for pointing this out, we need to redo this and update the site to make it more clear how stable the system is!

What are the 'blips' from at 0:23 and 0:42? I would have thought the first was process of connection to the GUI output, but the 0:42 occured. Does this attitude method, as implemented in this system, have singularities or asymptotes?
